Bio


Dan Law is a Program Officer for the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh. He joined the Council’s public policy team in May 2012. He manages and coordinate the Council’s public policy programming, including breakfast briefings, public policy luncheons, and political salons. Dan also works in conjunction with KQV News Radio AM 1410 to produce “Pittsburgh KQV Global Press Conference,” the Council's weekly radio show. He is also helping lead the efforts behind the newly-announced Global Energy Symposium slated for April 2014 in Pittsburgh -- a gathering of top-level energy experts and decision-makers from the regional and international communities. Active within Pittsburgh’s nonprofit community, Dan formerly served as a graduate fellow for the Heinz Endowments and volunteers regularly for local organizations. He currently serves as the President of the New Pittsburgh Collaborative (NPC), a coalition of of diverse, civically-engaged, young-minded organizations that encourages regional progress through sharing information, pooling resources, facilitating dialogue, and providing access. Dan graduated from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) with concentrations in Security and Intelligence Studies and Public and Nonprofit Management. Dan earned his B.A. from Washington and Jefferson College.
