Kevin Sorbo

International TV and Film Actor; Stroke Survivor; and Author, True Strength

Kevin Sorbo captured hearts and thrilled audiences around the globe in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. What most people don’t know is how close he came to death after suffering a series of strokes toward the end of filming this television series. Through the grace of God, friends and family, Sorbo triumphed through a long and arduous healing process, which he shares in his best-selling book True Strength. Since then, Sorbo has continued to excel as an actor, producer and director in many outstanding and critically acclaimed film and television projects, including his role as an atheist philosophy professor challenged by one of his students in the wildly successful film God’s Not Dead. A devoted husband and father, Sorbo is the national spokesperson for the Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit organization working to ensure that all children have access to quality after-school programs, and a national spokesperson for A World Fit For Kids!, a nonprofit group that gives young people the training, tools and support they need to achieve their goals and lead fit and fulfilling lives. Sorbo touches the spirit of each audience member by providing real-life takeaways they can apply to their own lives as a better future is never out of reach.
