Molly McGrath Tierney is a senior partner at the firm, Bennett Midland. She advises government executives and other civic sector leaders in organizational change, management strategy, and social service delivery.

Prior to joining Bennett Midland, Molly served as the Director of the Baltimore City Department of Social Services where she managed the City’s child welfare, public assistance, and homelessness programs. In Baltimore, Molly led an expansive reform effort that dramatically improved the timeliness and impact of services to vulnerable citizens of Baltimore—including an 89% reduction in the number of children living in group homes, a 59% increase in adoptions, and a 60% reduction in the number of children in foster care. Under her guidance, the Department is now considered a national model for the delivery of social services. Prior to her work in Baltimore, Molly worked for public child welfare systems in Illinois and Washington DC and was an Annie E. Casey Fellow.
