While at Brigham Young University, Todd Christensen was four-year starter at fullback. Three times he led the team in receptions and led the conference his Senior Year. Todd Christensen was the all-time leader in receptions at the University upon his departure. In the postseason he played in the Senior Bowl and the Blue-Gray classic, the latter in which he was named game MVP. He also lettered in lacrosse as a defenseman.

In Todd Christensen's eleven years in the NFL Christensen was an All-Pro tight end five times. Twice he led the league in receiving a feat only duplicated by Hall-of Famer Kellen Winslow. His 347 catches over a four-year span were an all-time NFL high at the time and he has the distinction of being the only player in history to have been the top receiver in the league for a Super Bowl Champion team. Along with Tony Gonzalez, Todd Christensen is the only tight end in history to have caught 90 passes twice in a single season. His average of 4.96 catches per game is the highest for any tight end in the history of the league. He played on two Super Bowl Champions (XV & XVIII) and is a member of five different Halls of Fame. Following his football career Todd Christensen had tryouts with the Oakland A's and the Anaheim Angels but found his niche in Masters Track and Field where he set an age-group World Record in the Heptathlon and was the top decathlete in the world for ages 45-and-over.

Since his playing career, Todd Christensen has worked as a broadcaster primarily for NBC and ESPN. His highlights include two Super Bowls, and Olympics, two track and field World Championships, a College National Championship and over forty bowl games. Among the eclectic sports Todd Christensen has hosted include Ultimate Fighting on Showtime, American Gladiators for FOX, The Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic in bodybuilding, Olympic Weightlifting for NBC, and Arena Football. In the entertainment field he was a host for FOX's first variety show entitled "On Stage America". Todd Christensen was a guest on the "Tonight Show", as well as "Hollywood Squares" and "Those Amazing Animals". He was also a guest star on "Married With Children". In addition, he has been on "CNN's Crossfire', ABC's Nightline, CBS This Morning, and ABC's Good Morning America. Todd Christensen served as a reporter for HBO's Inside the NFL and has been a radio host for innumerable shows.

Todd Christensen has been featured in National Periodicals that include Time, Sports Illustrated, People, GQ, and TV Guide. As an accomplished tenor Christensen has sung in countless productions most recently as Captain Von Trapp in "The Sound of Music". He has had over a thousand speaking engagements to date and has been involved in a variety of charities including his own "Athletes for Youth". Todd Christensen has also served as a columnist for a number of newspapers and has written three different books of poetry.
