First Black, Transgender, Disabled Model to Sign with a Major Agency

Aaron Rose Philip is a teenage model with cerebral palsy. Living through financial struggles as a child in a homeless shelter, she went on to become a disability activist. After publishing her memoir, "This Kid Can Fly: It’s About Ability (NOT Disability)," at age 14, she went on to sign with a modeling agency in 2017.

She became the first black, transgender disabled model to sign with a major agency, and her success has only continued to increase. In 2019, she made her runway debut at Willie Norris' fashion show. She was also featured on the cover of Paper magazine, and was interviewed by famous model Naomi Campbell for the issue.

In 2021, Philip debuted as an exclusive for Moschino’s spring/summer 2022 fashion show - making her the first model using a wheelchair to walk for a major luxury fashion brand.
