Growing up in Amherst, Massachusetts, Abe was surrounded by colleges and their theater departments and the marked dearth of prepubescent enrollees left a lot of open parts to be filled by a local boy. That local boy was Abe Smith.

Throughout junior high and high school. Abe continued to vent his adolescent turmoil on the stage, even forming his own juggling company (The No Onions Juggling Co.) to make a little extra money. But soon it was time to leave the little pond of Amherst Massachusetts and try to be a big fish at Brown University. And there he stayed. For three semesters. Abe was a favorite in IMPROVidence and Out of Bounds, the college's improv and sketch comedy troupes, but he couldn't ignore the lure of Hollywood or his professors' unreasonable demands that he "read books". So he lit out for the territories. Abe had always wanted to try his hand at stand-up, and his first foray into the open-mic circuit was enough to make him an addict. Three months after arriving in Los Angeles, Abe was picked up as a regular at the Laugh Factory (at age 19, the youngest regular to date) and signed with a manager. Since then he has appeared on Destination Stardom, NBC's Friday Night and UPN's The Parkers, as well as being a featured panelist on the pilot episode of the upcoming Chatroom America. Please give Abe work. He doesn't want to go back to college.
