Abigail Doolittle  

Equity Strategist for The Seaport Group.

Abigail Doolittle is the equity strategist for The Seaport Group, a boutique investment bank in New York, where she provides macro-strategy analysis on the equity markets along with the commodity and currency markets. Her work starts with technical analysis and ties in broad and accompanying fundamentals.

Prior to The Seaport Group, Doolittle founded Peak Theories Research in 2009, an online research firm that provided technical analysis of the financial markets. As an analyst with PTR, Doolittle analyzed the charts of equity, fixed-income, currency and commodity markets through pattern and trend analysis.

Before starting PTR, Doolittle spent four years as a portfolio manager and director of business development at Hugh Johnson Advisors, where she managed the portfolios of high net worth individuals and small- to medium-sized institutions. She was a member of the firm's investment committee and was routinely a part of macro portfolio decisions that was led by the highly respected investment strategist Hugh Johnson.

She met Johnson during the nearly six years she spent at the former First Albany Capital as an institutional equity salesperson and as a research product manager. During this time, Doolittle advised her buy-side clients on FAC's equity research and had daily interaction with her clients. She worked on several IPOs and secondary offerings and frequently visited her clients in New York and Texas with the CEOs and CFOs from various Fortune 500 companies.

Doolittle started her career on Wall Street with Morgan Stanley's investment banking department and graduated from Colgate University summa cum laude with a degree in philosophy.
