Founder of The Mars Generation, STEM Advocate, Internet Personality & Aspiring Astronaut

Popularly known as "Astronaut Abby", Abigail Harrison is the founder of The Mars Generation, a nonprofit that aims to educate young people about space exploration and STEM. The Mars Generation and Harrison herself have over one million followers on social media.

Harrison is a student, studying astrobiology, and an aspiring astronaut. She has announced her intention to be the first human to set foot on Mars.

Harrison founded The Mars Generation in 2015, and serves as the Chair of the Executive Board. Harrison also works as an intern in the Mars Lab of Dr. Andrew Schuerger, where she researches the possibility of life on Mars. So far, the team has successfully grown 31 bacteria under Martian conditions.

In 2019, Harrison was awarded with the Glamour Magazine College Women of the Year and featured in the Forbes 30 under 30 Education List.
