Chairman of the Board & CEO of AMC Entertainment

Adam Aron is Chairman of the Board and CEO of AMC Entertainment, having served as CEO of AMC since January of 2016. His leadership caused AMC to triple in size becoming the largest movie theater chain in the world, along with introducing a wide array of product enhancements and marketing innovations. Most notably at AMC, Aron has guided it through the COVID-19 pandemic which hit the movie theatre industry particularly hard, along with his spearheading its resulting meme stock status currently. Variety has repeatedly named Aron to its “Variety 500” - the 500 most influential people globally in entertainment.

Earlier in his career, Aron served as CEO of each of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Vail Resorts. He also has served as CMO of United Airlines and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. In so doing, in 2007 he was named to “Club 33” - the 33 most influential people globally in travel and tourism. Aron is also a minority owner of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, and the Premier League’s London-based Crystal Palace Football Club.
