As Chief Technology Officer, Adam’s role ranges from research and development, architecture and engineering, and creating solutions for the benefit of the business. Overall, Adam is responsible for the technical standards and technology strategy of Visa Europe. Adam joined Visa in 2000 and was instrumental in establishing Visa Europe’s processing capability. Through this €0.5 billion investment, Visa have created the most reliable, robust and secure authorisation clearing and settlement system in Europe, which is also the fastest. Visa’s processing platform enables the creation of many new value-added processing services such as Real Time Scoring fraud detection solution and Visa Alerts text messaging service. He has worked in the payments industry for 16 years in a variety of roles from Head of Development to Head of Operations. Prior to joining Visa Europe, Adam worked for Lloyds of London and spent a further five years as a Consultant in the insurance and finance industries.
