Addison Armstrong is senior director of market research for Tradition Energy. Armstrong is a veteran of the commodity business, having previously held positions in derivatives marketing, commercial and industrial sales, and business development.

Every day, Armstrong and his team are actively involved in brokering a variety of energy products, including futures, options and over-the-counter swaps.

Prior to joining Tradition, Armstrong was a managing director at ADM Investor Services, where he led the marketing efforts of the energy division. Before that, he was involved in business development activities at Sempra Energy Trading, where he helped develop a variety of businesses, including retail energy marketing, base metals trading and a project to develop the first LNG terminal along the Pacific Coast. Armstrong began his commodity career at AIG Trading, where he traded short-term power and marketed natural gas derivatives.

After receiving his undergraduate degree from Columbia University, Armstrong was a journalist and television producer for NBC, the BBC and Reuters.
