New York native Ade Samuel is setting the standards among Hollywood’s creatives, impressing the industry with her dynamic, one-of-a-kind approach to cutting edge style. Raised in The Bronx, Samuel was born to a family of Nigerian descent. She grew up working with clothing, textures, fabrics and silhouettes inspired by her cultural roots. Hence, her discerning eye and unprecedented perspective on fashion developed from a very young age. Her background working in Fashion PR, Editorial and Fashion Show productions has led to a flourishing career as a stylist to some of the biggest names in Hollywood as well the sole founder and designer of former brand Ade Samuel shoes - launched in 2016.
Samuel’s rise to stardom as a celebrity stylist began after she graduated from Buffalo State College, receiving a dual degree in fashion merchandising and textile technology as well, an Advertising and Marketing degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology, F.I.T. Samuel freelanced for both W Magazine and Teen Vogue, fostering her skill in luxury fashion. Samuel landed her first solo project styling Yara Shahidi for the cover, which coined the term “Black Girl Magic” with Essence Magazine. This later led her to her viral moment, with longtime client Big Sean for the Grammys. No stranger to editorial and runway, Samuel’s skills are unique, varied and personal to her clients.
Her notable clients have been: Michael B Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Cynthia Erivo, Yvonne Orji, Big Sean, Yara Shahidi, Letitia Wright, Kelly Rowland, Monica Brown, Khalid, Kofi Siriboe, Nicole Richie, Miley Cyrus and Christina Aguilera
Her work can be seen editorials and campaigns from: Adidas, H&M, Flaunt Magazine, At-Large, GQ, The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard Magazine, Teen Vogue, Vogue and Essence. A global stylist, Samuel's work has been featured across the diaspora of Africa with a focus on Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.
