CEO of Zoox & 1st African-American Woman to Lead a Self-Driving Car Company

Aicha S. Evans is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Zoox Inc. since 2019. Zoox is developing an autonomous ride-hailing service that it plans to launch in 2020. Evans's roles are preparing Zoox to handle the transition from developing ideas to bringing those ideas to the market, and ensuring the company's autonomous driving technology is safe enough for consumers. Evans was named to Business Insider's list of the 100 people transforming business.

Prior to serving as CEO of Zoox, Evans served as General Manager of Communication & Devices, Corporate Vice President, Head of Mobile Chip Business, and General Manager of Platform Engineering Group at Intel Corporation. Her final role at Intel was as its Chief Strategy Officer until January 2019.

At Intel, Ms. Evans was responsible for driving platform engineering for multi-comm products and platforms as well as emerging wireless technologies. She also served 10 years in various engineering management positions at Rockwell Semiconductors, Conexant and Skyworks, and as an Independent Director of Autoliv, Inc. Evans holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from The George Washington University.
