Aisha Adkins

Storyteller, Care Partner & Thought Leader

Aisha Adkins is a sought-after writer, celebrated speaker, and award-winning advisor and organizer who is passionate about building an equitable, inclusive, and comprehensive public health and care infrastructure. She earned her Master’s of Public Administration from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies in 2020. She also became a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) that year.

She carved out a niché for herself in 2017 when she founded Our Turn 2 Care, a nonprofit organization connecting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ millennial caregivers to information, resources, and each other. The organization merged with Love Labor Project in 2021 before closing later that year. Later that year, Aisha pivoted from direct support, focusing attention on advocacy. She joined Caring Across Generations, where she currently serves as the Constituency Engagement Manager. In this role, she organizes family caregivers, older adults, and disabled people to collectively transform the way care is given, received, and viewed in the U.S.

A lifelong learner, Aisha was recently selected to participate in the 2023 cohort of Columbia University’s Age Boom Academy fellowship.
