Akshaya Shanmugam is the Cofounder and CEO of Lumme, a company developing an addiction treatment software designed to help smokers who want to quit. The program works by sensing the smoker’s movements and predicting a relapse, prompting a notification that tells them not to light up. For her work with Lumme, she was recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in healthcare.

Shanmugam is a PhD graduate from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
