Al Masocco

Expert in Rock N' Roll Marketing and Branding

Throughout his career with CBS Records, Sony Music, The Firm and now his company PulseBeat Marketing, Al Masocco works on a daily basis in communication/managing Label and Artist operations along with developing and implementation of marketing plans, reviewing budgets, working with online teams and then turn it into a tactical reality. The practice of exposure and managing the flow of information between Labels, Managers, outside Organizations and the Public is a key part of all of his marketing efforts.

PulseBeat Marketing is a full service, Los Angeles based company, reaching out to the broad, diverse and creative music community on a worldwide scale. Throughout his career, combining music with the visual media has always been the centerpiece of all Masocco's music videos, television and movie projects along with being a liaison between the creative and business ends of this process.

The opportunity to help expand growth and develop brands at different companies has always been of key interest to Masocco, and his life's work reflects that. He's been in the music industry for over 30 years both in sales and marketing, but even more than that, the music scene has always been a central part of my marketing career. His current and past positions speak for themselves. He has been in the music business for the past 30+ years, working at corporate giants like CBS Records, Sony Music, and The Firm, in both music and film management roles. He was the VP of Marketing for Epic Records for well over a decade, Head Of Marketing for MJJ Records (Michael Jackson's Label) and SVP of Worldwide Marketing for The Firm Management Company, helping launch the company from its initial roster of three clients to well over 200.

The Firm also gave Masocco the privilege of helping to re-launch the legendary "PONY" Sneakers/Apparel brand in 2001, literally breathing fresh life into a brand that had been dormant for years. Through my music connections, he was able to sign celebrity entertainers such as Justin Timberlake, Korn, Snoop Dogg, Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, Jack Tatum and Pete Rose to participate in his Pony re-launch campaign. In 2003, Global Brand Marketing, based in Santa Barbara, CA, acquired Pony at a substantial profit for The Firm. Masocco was a key figure in the transition of this brand to its new owner. He is now the CEO and Founder of PulseBeat Marketing, a very solid, independent marketing business dealing with the development of new music artists, labels and management companies, throughout all musical genres.
