Alan Berson

Marketing, Strategic Planning & Finance Expert; Co-author of "Leadership: Challenging High Potential Managers to Become Great Leaders"

After earning an MBA from Wharton, Alan Berson as a leader enjoyed a twenty-five year career in Marketing, Strategic Planning and Finance with positions at Merrill Lynch, Gillette, Bausch & Lomb, Chase Lincoln First Bank, Marriott, and as the President and CEO of a training organization with multinational clients. Thus, he intimately knows the type of challenges, opportunities and risks his clients face.

In a career shift, Berson earned his Leadership Coaching credentials at Georgetown University in 2002 to concentrate on the growth of other executives rather than personally running companies. With this ongoing transformation, Berson continues to discover new ways to enable executives to succeed and subsequently builds powerful learning models to ensure their success. Berson has received the PCC certification from the ICF.

Berson is a Learning Director at Wharton Executive Education; an Adjunct Professor at Delaware Valley College pioneering a Doctorate in Leadership for Educators and on the faculty of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

He was previously an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business; taught and coached in the Executive Masters in Leadership Program, the Change Management Advance Practitioner Program with Booz Allen Hamilton, and an MBA course in Leading Change.

Berson obtained the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certification from the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Because of his love of music and his desire to work with emerging professionals, Berson was elected to the Associates Board of Directors, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts in 2014 to focus on STEM learning initiatives.
