Writer and Critic Who Serves as "The Voice of Books" for NPR's "All Things Considered"

For over 30 years writer Alan Cheuse has served as "the voice of books" for National Public Radio's evening news-magazine "All Things Considered." He is the author, among other books, of the novels "The Grandmothers' Club," "The Light Possessed," and the award-winning "To Catch the Lightning." His latest novel, "Song of Slaves in the Desert" recently appeared in paperback. His new collection of short fiction will appear next spring under the title "An Authentic Captain Marvel Ring."
