LGBTQ+ Rights Advocate; Emmy & Tony Award-Winning Actor Known for "The Good Wife"

Alan Cumming is a Scottish actor, singer, writer, and director known for his dynamic performances across stage, film, and television. He has garnered acclaim for his work in both comedic and dramatic roles, earning numerous awards and nominations throughout his career.

Cumming first gained widespread recognition for his role in the film "GoldenEye" (1995) and his Tony Award-winning performance as the Emcee in the Broadway revival of "Cabaret" (1998). He continued to build his reputation with memorable roles in films such as "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" (1997), "Spy Kids" (2001), and "X2: X-Men United" (2003).

In television, Cumming is perhaps best known for his role as Eli Gold on the CBS series "The Good Wife" (2010–2016), for which he received multiple Emmy Award nominations. He also starred in the CBS series "Instinct" (2018–2019), where he played Dr. Dylan Reinhart, a former CIA operative turned professor and author.

Cumming's recent work includes a starring role in the Apple TV+ series "Schmigadoon!" (2021–present), a musical comedy that parodies iconic musicals. He also appeared in the 2022 film "My Old School," a documentary-drama hybrid in which he plays a key role. Cumming currently hosts the Emmy-nominated Peacock reality game show "The Traitors". Additionally, he continues to perform in various stage productions and is involved in numerous philanthropic efforts, particularly advocating for LGBTQ+ rights.
