Alan K'necht      

Conference speaker, Lecturer, Author, Columnist & Internet Strategist

Alan K'necht (@aknecht) is a founding partner at Digital Always Media Inc. and previously was president of Knechtology Inc., an Internet strategy & analytics consulting and training company. In addition to his duties at DAM, Alan was an online lecturer for the University of San Francisco's Internet Marketing and Digital Analytics programs. From 2012 to 2015 he was the subject lead for the Digital Analytics program.

In 2010 he published his 1st book, the award-winning The Last Original Idea: A Cynics View to Internet Marketing. Over the years, Knecht has helped implement web analytics and Internet marketing solutions. Clients have included Canadas Federal Government, the US Navy, Inter-American Development Bank, Toyota Canada, various media organizations, several e-commerce companies and a wide array of other businesses.

He is also the former co-host of the now-silent Social Media Marketing industry Twitter chat, #SocialChat, which reached an audience of over 700,000 on a weekly basis.

Through digital/web analytics, K'necht has always helped clients measure and maximize their Return on Investment (ROI) for their web site marketing initiatives. K'necht is an internationally published columnist, who has been interviewed by numerous publications and media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Globe & Mail, National Post, CBC radio, CanWest Global News and WebmasterRadio.FM.

Alan has spoken at internet and search & analytics industry conferences around the world. Past keynotes and event addresses including Search Engine Strategies, Search Marketing Expo, PubCon, eMetrics, Socialize, All Facebook, WebBuilder, Webtrends, a variety of organizations and various association events. He is available to speak on topics ranging from search and social media marketing to the evolution of the Internet.
