Co-Founder of the National Cervical Cancer Coalition; Ambassador of Global Initiative Against HPV & Cervical Cancer

Alan Kaye has been involved in cancer diagnostics advocacy since 1996 when he co-founded the National Cervical Cancer Coalition (NCCC) with his late wife, Randi. The NCCC has local chapters throughout the United States. Kaye is also working with the Global Initiative Against HPV and Cervical Cancer (GIAHC) to spread awareness about cervical cancer and HPV globally.

For 12 years, Kaye was the co-owner of a national molecular pathology laboratory and had 37 years experience in laboratory medicine prior to his retirement. In addition to NCCC, he participated in the Listen & Learn program with the American Association Cancer Research (AACR), the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation (GCF), and served at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) for seven years as a healthcare cancer advocate on the DCLG & the DSMB.

Kaye has helped pioneer community efforts to increase cervical cancer awareness and human papillomavirus (HPV) education. Along with others, he successfully worked to designate January as Cervical Health Awareness Month and for more than two decades has been active in grassroots campaigns to promote awareness year-round as well as during Cervical Health Awareness Month. As the past executive director of NCCC, he testified before the FDA on new technologies and was a member of the advocate planning group for a national conference held in Washington, DC on cervical cancer and the HPV vaccine.

Kaye is a registered yoga teacher and is focused in on therapeutic yoga and enhancing yoga into the emerging integrative medicine model to help enhance patient outcomes and improve quality of life.
