Alan November      

Education Technology Leader, Founder of November Learning, Best-Selling Author

Alan November is an international leader in education technology. He is the Founder and a Senior Partner of November Learning. His notable work includes the best-selling books "Who Owns the Learning?" which was featured on the New York Times education bestseller list for 2013, and "Empowering Students with Technology," which provides insights into enhancing student's research skills and problem-solving capabilities. He began his career as an oceanography teacher and dorm counselor at an island reform school for boys in Boston Harbor. He has also been director of an alternative high school, computer coordinator, technology consultant, and university lecturer.

November was named one of the nation's fifteen most influential thinkers of the decade by Tech and Learning magazine. In 2001, he was listed as one of eight educators to provide leadership in the future by the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse. He was a co-founder of the Stanford Institute for Educational Leadership Through Technology and has been honored as one of the original five national Christa McAuliffe Educators.

Each summer, November leads the Building Learning Communities summer conference, which attracts educators from over 25 countries and features world-class presenters. His professional initiatives extend to offering keynote presentations through November Learning, designed to inspire and challenge educational professionals to rethink their approaches to teaching and technology. November has delivered keynotes and workshops in all fifty states, across Canada, and throughout the UK, Europe, Asia, and Central America, focusing on innovative practices to enhance the quality of education through technology. His workshops cover a variety of educational topics, including grant writing, aligning technology with educational standards, and effective use of primary resources in classrooms. He emphasizes critical thinking, global communication, and authentic student collaboration in his teachings, advocating for the use of technology to improve the quality of information and communication in educational settings.
