Alan Yang is a screenwriter, producer, and actor. He is known for his work on "Parks and Recreation," "Date and Switch*" and "Master of None."

While working on "Parks and Recreation," he met actor and comedian Aziz Ansari. The two co-created the Netflix show "Master of None" which premiered in 2015. The show earned four Emmy nominations and Yang and Ansari won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. They also won a Peabody Award in 2016. Yang has also written for NBC's "The Good Place." In 2018, he co-created the Amazon Video series "Forever" and "Tigertail" a move loosely based on his upbringing was released on Netflix in 2020.
