Co-Creator of "Master of None" & Writer on "Parks and Recreation"

Alan Yang is a screenwriter, producer, and actor. He is known for his work on Parks and Recreation, Date and Switch and Master of None. He joined the writing staff for Parks and Recreation in 2008, and while waiting for writing and production to begin he wrote a screenplay titled Gay Dude that was later released in 2014 with the title Date and Switch.

While working on Parks and Recreation, he met actor and comedian Aziz Ansari. The two co-created the Netflix show Master of None which premiered in 2015. The show earned four Emmy nominations and Yang and Ansari won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. They also won a Peabody Award in 2016. That year Yang also started writing for NBC's The Good Place. In 2018, he co-created the Amazon Video series Forever
