Dr. Albert Chanthaboury was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He is a descendant of Thai and Laotian immigrants and is a proud first-generation graduate. He received a full-ride scholarship through the Posse Foundation to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he obtained his bachelor’s degree . He continued to complete his MA in Educational Leadership at Northeastern Illinois University. To advance his career in research, Dr. Chanthaboury received his Ph.D. Community Psychology degree at National Louis University.
As a groundbreaking researcher, Dr. Chanthaboury aims to continue his research data that will contribute to strategy and operations, institutional research, and Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI) education. As he is beginning to sprout into the field of research, outside of work, he devotes his passion to the Asian-American community through workshops, speaking engagements, and presentation.
He has delivered keynote speeches at conferences, facilitated workshops, and led presentations toward students, faculty, and staff in higher education for the past decade at various universities and colleges. Completing his dissertation on Asian American success in higher education and the Model Minority Myth, he is excited to talk about college readiness, trauma, and action plans that should be implemented in institutions.
