Misapplied Sciences, a VC-backed startup, is creating an unexpected future - one that very few have imagined and many would think physically impossible. In addition to being featured in popular tech journals, Ng’s work in this field trended on social media sites, reaching the front page of Reddit, and attracting over 1.2 million views on YouTube. At Stanford, Ng built high-performance computers and interfaces that advanced the ability of biologists to perform next-generation gene sequence alignment. Ng received a BS from Caltech and an MS from Stanford in EE. He was granted fellowships from the National Science Foundation, Stanford, and Microsoft Research.

Ng speaks and writes Mandarin Chinese, dabbles in Korean and Spanish, and has been a competitive chess player, piano performer, and ultimate Frisbee champion.
