Olympic Half Pipe Skier

Alex Ferreira is a half pipe skier. Growing up in Aspen, Colorado, he was exposed to all things outdoors, and was on skis before he could barely walk. He quickly began winning local competitions, and has gone on to reach celebrity status both in his hometown and throughout skiing culture.

Ferreira's passion has taken him all over the world, culminating in a silver medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics. He has won 7 medals, including 3 gold, in the superpipe at the Winter X Games; won 3 Dew Tours; and landed on the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup podium 11 times. Driven by a powerful work ethic, a can-do attitude, and a charismatic personality, Ferreira continues to have an impact on the sport, both on and off the half pipe.

From helping new skiers learn the fundamentals to honing the skills of accomplished Olympic hopefuls, Ferreira is intimately involved with coaching and mentoring, and takes his sense of obligation to the next generation seriously. Ferreira lives the ethos of paying it forward, and is dedicated to sharing his passion with others.

Ferreira is actively involved with POW (Protect Our Winters) and continues to pursue partnerships with organizations having a positive impact in Colorado and beyond. His sponsors include Columbia Sportswear, POC, USANA Health Sciences, Rockstar Energy Drink, and Aspen Snowmass Skico, and he has partnered with Level Gloves to develop his own line of ski gloves.

Ann engaging and articulate speaker, Ferreira shares the inspirations, successes and failures that contributed to his success as a professional athlete, and he frames them in a way that is both riveting and relatable to his audience.
