Alex Reed is the cofounder of Advanced Polymer Monitoring Technologies, Inc. In 2012 Reed joined with a Tulane physics professor to start APMT, which creates sensors and provides monitoring services for manufacturers of polymers and biopharmaceuticals, allowing for the quality control of chemical processes. Over three years, the 12-employee company has raised more than $5 million.
