Group Product Manager at Google

Alexander Schiffhauer is Group Product Manager at Google where he leads product management for the company’s computational photography teams. Under his leadership, Google has pioneered innovation on Pixel Camera, leveraging artificial intelligence and computer vision techniques to create photos unimaginable only a few years ago.

Schiffhauer is the lead on Google's most popular consumer-facing photo tools. He has personally led projects like Google's Night Sight camera feature on Pixel, which stitches together 15 different photos taken at night to create one bright detailed photo. He has also worked on features like HDR+, Portrait Mode and Astrophotography. Forbes has recognized Schiffhauer for his innovative work by naming him to their 30 Under 30 - Consumer Technology list in 2020.

Schiffhauer assumed his present role after serving as a Technical Advisor to Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Earlier, he was an Associate Product Manager at the company.

Schiffhauer started his career in tech as the first engineering hire at Big Huge Games, where he helped build DomiNations, an Apple Editors' Choice app. He received both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in computer science from Johns Hopkins University.
