Alexei Mlodinow is the Co-Founder of Surgical Innovation Associates. The startup develops a type of surgical mesh that helps surgical wounds close and then it is absorbed into the body. The mesh was cleared by the FDA and the company has raised $2.5 million. Mlodinow was inspired to make the product after his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and needed a mastectomy. In 2019, he was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in healthcare.
