CBS News Reporter & Anchor, Host, Author of "101 Tips from Television News for Everyday Life"

Alicia Roberts joined the CBS News Philadelphia in December 2020 with strong hometown roots. Her grandfather was a well-known tailor who owned a shop on Frankford Avenue. Her father retired from PECO after 30 years of service.

Roberts was also named Miss Philadelphia 2003 and remains on the Board of Directors as the organization celebrates 102 years of scholarship and service. During her year, Roberts made nearly 100 appearances as an ambassador for our city including at the Mayor's Ball and Philadelphia Marathon. She even sang the National Anthem before a Philadelphia Phillies home game.

Roberts grew up in Bucks County and graduated from Archbishop Wood High School. She was an All-Catholic track athlete and voted into the 2022 Hall of Fame. She went on to study at Temple University where she graduated summa cum laude. She then earned a Master's degree from Drexel University, which named her to its "40 Under 40.”. Roberts started her career in Tampa where she also served as the first female In-Game Host for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2008. She most recently worked for CBS News Atlanta while freelancing for the Braves, Falcons and Skyhawks.

Roberts is a huge animal advocate and rescued her “Goldie” from the PSPCA. Her e-book "101 Tips from Television News for Everyday Life" offers easy-to-read, everyday advice for whatever life throws your way.
