Alissa Black is a Senior Business Analysts on the Emerging Technologies team for the City and County of San Francisco. Her team is responsible for supporting and implementing OpenSF, an initiative to make San Francisco government more transparent and collaborative. Her latest project was the Open311 API, a collaborative effort with multiple cities, non-profits and developers to create a de-facto standard for requesting municipal services. Open311 API is a major step in making government a platform and has paved the way for future collaborative efforts at not only the local levels, but also state and federal.
