Allen Chang is cofounded Vertera Spine in 2013. Vertera Spine will be the first company to FDA-clear, manufacture, and implant a surface porous synthetic bone in humans. His process, which grows a porous material that mimics bone and is intended to be used for implants, has attracted $2 million in funding to date.
