Allen Raymond is the author of How to Rig an Election: Confessions of a Republican Operative, a hilarious and candid personal account of his journey on the Republican side of the political scene.

Raymond graduated from Hobart College in 1989, and holds a Masters of Arts Degree from the Graduate School of Political Management. From 1990 to 1992, he worked in public relations at Ruder Finn in New York, and then left for the rough and tumble world of election campaign management, starting with primary and general election campaigns for Congress in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and for the State Assembly in New Jersey. He has served as the Research Director and later as Press Secretary and Executive Director for the New Jersey Republican State Committee, as the campaign manager and later Chief of Staff to Congressman Bill Martini (R-NJ), and as a Regional Political Director for RNC Chairman (and now Mississippi governor) Haley Barbour. He designed and implemented voter contact and turnout programs for gubernatorial, congressional and state legislative campaigns, as well as GOP state committees in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.

Raymond worked for another Republican National Committee Co-Chair, Patricia Harrison, as her Chief of Staff after her election to that position in January of 1997. During the 1998 election cycle, he was a Regional Political Director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee under Senator Mitch McConnell’s chairmanship, serving as a campaign advisor to various Republican US Senate candidates. In 2000, he moved to the world of presidential election campaign, working as the deputy political director for Steve Forbes. After the 2000 election, Raymond founded GOPmarketplace.com, LLC, a political telemarketing broker, which was launched in 2000 and grossed over $3,000,000 over three years of operation.
