Allen Schick    

Distinguished University Professor of Public Policy at the University of Maryland

Allen Schick is Distinguished University Professor of Public Policy at the University of Maryland. His research and writings cover government finance, budget policy and process, comparative political institutions, and international development.

Schick has worked in 45 states and more than 50 countries, and is affiliated with major international organizations, including The World Bank, IMF, OECD, and the Asian Development Bank. His recent books include Evolutions in Budgetary Practice (published by OECD) and Government at Risk Oxford University Press).

Schick's current research focuses on the global financial crisis, especially means of averting future financial meltdowns.
