Decision Economics is a global economics and financial markets information support and advisory firm, responsible for the firm's research, forecasts, and strategy advice.

The firm serves financial institutions, corporations, governments and individuals with offices in New York, Boston, London and Tokyo. Dr. Sinai has served a wide range of organizations and decision makers in both the U.S. and abroad during his career, tailoring information, strategy and advisory support to the bottom-line needs of each. He utilizes over 25 years of knowledge and experience, applying quantitative economic and financial market research to business decisions, financial market analyses and forecasts, trading, investing and management. Dr. Sinai is well-known as a forecaster, educator and econometric model-builder and developed The Sinai-Boston Large-Scale Quarterly Macro econometric Model of the U.S., one of the largest, most accurate models of the U.S. economy and financial markets.

Previously, Dr. Sinai was Chief Global Economist and a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers Inc. as well as the Director of Lehman Brothers Global Economics. He joined Lehman in 1983 to establish the Lehman (later Shearson Lehman) economics department, remaining in various positions with the company until 1996. From 1988 to 1999, Dr. Sinai served as Executive Vice President and Chief Economist of the Boston Company, an asset management and banking subsidiary of Shearson Lehman Brothers, where he also headed a small economic information company, The Boston Company Economic Advisors, Inc.

Before joining Lehman Brothers, Dr. Allen Sinai was at Data Resources, Inc. (DRI), as Chief Financial Economist and a Senior Vice President. At DRI from 1971 to 1983, he worked with founder Otto Eckstein in macroeconomic and financial forecasting and as a co-developer of the DRI Model of the U.S. Economy. He also served as Chairman of the Financial Information Group, which provided information, products and services to over 300 financial institutions.

Over the years, Dr. Sinai has been consulted by various administrations from both political parties on key economic and policy issues. He was an invited presenter at the December 1992 Little Rock Economic Summit, an attendee at the White House Conference on the New Economy in April 2000, and consulted for various Clinton Administration officials from time-to-time. He also consulted for the Bush and Reagan administrations. He has met with numerous officials in state governments as well as members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. He meets regularly with senior level policymakers from other countries and has often testified before the U.S. Congress. Dr. Sinai is a recognized expert on the Federal Reserve and monetary policy, both as a scholar and in forecasting Federal Reserve policy. He has also served as a consultant to the Federal Reserve.

Dr. Sinai has given hundreds of speeches to various groups, ranging from individual investors to corporate executives and boards, financial market participants around the world and technical sessions at academic meetings. He has frequently lectured in Europe, Asia and South America, and is often sited in the media. He has appeared on radio and national television programs such as Moneyline, Nightline, Today, and financial news segments on all major networks and cable stations. He has been profiled in cover articles in Money magazine and others.

Dr. Sinai is Adjunct Professor of Economics and Finance at Brandeis University - he has also taught at the Sloan School of Management at M.I.T., New York University, Boston University and the University of Illinois.

He has written numerous articles, papers and speeches in popular and scientific literature, having authored or co-authored over 40 articles in scholarly journals or publications.
