Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a wee little lass, currently using an insulin pump, Metformin and lots of humor and positive thinking. Founder and former editor of DiabetesTeenTalk.com, also worked in PR for consumer and healthcare brands. Graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Journalism, then made the cross-country migration from Oregon to New York. Currently lives in Westchester, NY, with her husband, where she is prepping for nursing school. Spends weekends galavanting around New England or exploring the restaurants, shops and landmarks of New York City. Fancies herself an amateur photographer. Life motto: “when life hands you lemons, make lemonade!” And diabetes is one big ol’ lemon!
