Allison DuBois

Medium & Bestselling Author, "Don't Kiss Them Goodbye"

Allison DuBois is an author and claimed medium. She has positioned herself as a medium and profiler, opting not to use the term 'psychic' due to its negative connotation. DuBois maintains that she uses her abilities to link the living with their deceased loved ones and to help law enforcement agencies in their investigations. Her work in this realm includes collaborations with law enforcement agencies such as the Texas Rangers and the Glendale, Arizona, police department.

Her skills as a medium were evaluated by Gary Schwartz of the University of Arizona. Schwartz stated that his research supports DuBois's psychic abilities following four years of her participating in various tests at the institution aimed at studying psychic phenomena and mediums.

Her career and experiences form the basis for the TV drama series "Medium," based on DuBois's book, "Don't Kiss Them Good-Bye." The series aired from 2005 to 2011, with DuBois's character portrayed by Patricia Arquette. DuBois has indicated that the show is an accurate portrayal of her life, with some embellishments for the small screen. She has also made sporadic TV appearances, such as a one-time feature on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" in 2010.

She is the author of six books on mediumship, including "Don't Kiss Them Good-bye," "We Are Their Heaven," and "Talk To Me—What the Dead Whisper in Your Ear." DuBois is married to Joe Klupar and they have three daughters named Aurora, Fallon, and Sophia. DuBois asserts that her daughters share her psychic abilities.
