Ally Sheedy          

American Film and Stage Actress, and Author of Two Books

Ally Sheedy started acting when she was a teenager in local stage productions. She appeared in several made-for-television films in 1981 and three episodes of the television

series "Hill Street Blues".

Sheedy's first film debut was in "Bad Boys" in 1983.  She had numerous roles in the 1980's.  She stared in teen films like "WarGames", "The Breakfast Club" and "Short Circuit".

Sheedy appeared in many television films in the 1990's.   She was in 1998's "High Art".  In 1999, Sheedy was the lead in the Off-Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. She was the first female to play the part of the German transsexual, "Hedwig".  She was also a guest star on "The Dead Zone" in 2003.
