Alyssa Harad is the author of Coming to My Senses: A Story of Perfume, Pleasure and an Unlikely Bride (now a Penguin paperback), the witty, wise, slyly feminist memoir of a writer led by the nose to a more pleasure-aware life. Harad's writing has appeared in O, The Oprah Magazine, The Chronicle Review, Marie Claire and the perfume blogs Now Smell This and Perfume-Smellin’ Things. Alyssa grew up in Boise, Idaho and lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, where she is at work on a novel.
