During her tenure at the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, Ellis served as the lead writer and editor for the largest business organization in a region of over 1 million people. Her efforts significantly contributed to raising awareness about her home city, resulting in millions of annual impressions. Her deep involvement in public relations extended beyond her work, as evidenced by her role as president of the Public Relations Society of America Lookout Chapter in 2021.
