Civil Rights Activist; 2019 Nobel Peace Prize Nominee; CEO & Founder of Rise

Amanda Nguyen is a civil rights activist. She ignited the Stop Asian Hate movement and passed sexual assault survivor's bill of rights in the United States and United Nations. As the CEO of Rise, a social movement accelerator, she teaches grassroots organizing. She is also an expert advisor on the Chloé Sustainability Board.

For her work, she is a Nobel Peace Prize Nominee and TIME Woman of the Year. Amanda played Hanoi Hannah in Spike Lee’s film "Da Five Bloods". She has served at the White House, Department of State, and NASA, and is currently an astronaut candidate at the International Institute of Astronautical Sciences.

In recognition of her work, Nguyen is a Heinz Laureate, Nelson Mandela Changemaker, Forbes 30 Under 30, Foreign Policy 100, Time 100 Next, Frederick Douglass 100, and Marie Claire Young Woman of the Year. Previously, Nguyen served at NASA and the State Department under the Obama Administration. She graduated from Harvard University.
