Amanda Schull  

Television/ film actress; former professional ballet dancer

Amanda Schull was born and raised in Hawaii where she studied ballet with John Landovsky of the Hawaiian State Ballet. As a youth, she acted in various theatrical productions, including “A Little Night Music,” “Evita,” “Gypsy” and “Into the Woods.”

Schull has performed with Ballet Hawaii in “The Nutcracker” as well as with the Hawaiian State Ballet Junior Company in “Carmen,” “The Nutcracker, “Esmeralda,” “Carmina Burana,” “Hamlet” and “Paquita.”

She attended the University of Indiana for two years. In 1999, after apprenticing with San Francisco Ballet, she became a full-fledged company member of dancing in the corps de ballet.

After retiring in 2007 from the San Francisco Ballet, she moved to LA and continued to act, being seeing in shows like Ghost Whisperer, Lie to Me, One Tree Hill, and Suits. In 2009 she starred in the movie “Mao’s Last Dancer.”
