Amandla Stenberg is an actor and singer acclaimed for their roles in movies such as "The Hunger Games," "Everything, Everything," and "The Hate U Give." Their performances consistently demonstrate a deep commitment to social issues involving racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and gender equality. Stenberg's influential stance on these matters earned them a spot on TIME's list of Most Influential Teens in 2015 and 2016, and they were also included in Oprah Winfrey's SuperSoul 100 list of visionaries and influential leaders in 2016.

Stenberg's acting career began with their role in "Colombiana," an action-thriller released in 2010, starring Zoe Saldana. Their portrayal in "The Hunger Games" brought them an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture and a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Chemistry, shared with Jennifer Lawrence. They have also appeared in "Sleepy Hollow" as Macey, the daughter of Captain Frank Irving, and in "Mr. Robinson" as Halle Foster. They are part of the folk-rock duo Honeywater, alongside singer/songwriter Zander Hawley, releasing two EPs in 2015 and 2016. Stenberg's work continues to be recognized and celebrated, as evidenced by their role in "The Hate U Give," which was part of a competitive acquisition by Fox 2000 in 2016 and released in 2018. They also starred in "Where Hands Touch" and the film adaptation of "The Darkest Minds" series by Alexandra Bracken. Stenberg identifies as non-binary and uses both "they" and "she" pronouns, reflecting their personal journey and advocacy for non-binary recognition.
