Amber Benson is a writer and actress best known for her work as the witch, Tara Maclay, on the hit show Buffy The Vampire Slayer and recurring vampire, Lenore, on the CW's Supernatural. She has appeared on Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, as well as in the feature films Strictly Sexual and Steven Soderbergh's King Of The Hill.

Amber is also the author of a five book urban fantasy series for Penguin called Death's Daughter (the first book is now in its third printing) and a middle-grade book, Among the Ghosts, for Simon and Schuster. She has co-written (with Christopher Golden) the dark fantasy animated series, The Ghosts of Albion, for the BBC and novelized that universe for Random House. She has also delved into the world of comics, co-writing a number of "Buffy" Comics for Dark Horse and a David Copperfield-inspired vampire series, Demon Father John's Pinwheel Blues, with the artist Ben Templesmith for IDW.

Drones, the co-directed (with Adam Busch) premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival and is now available on Showtime.

Amber has also tried her talent at writing and directing, starting in 2001 with the independent comedy-drama Chance, where she played the title character. She has also wrote various stage plays as well as the scripts for other independent movie productions like The Theory of the Leisure Class and Ghosts of Albion: Legacy.
