As the founding CMO at JetBlue Airways, she redefined what an airline could be, by applying her simplistic, unconventional approach and experiential marketing know-how to internal and external initiatives. From reevaluating plane colors to advertising in alternative publications to introducing interactive campaigns for customers in-flight and on the ground, Curtis-McIntyre’s efforts were crucial to the airline startup’s popularity and success. During her tenure, JetBlue was named "Marketer of the Year" by Ad Age Magazine and was voted "Best U.S. Airline" by Condé Nast Traveler readers, a distinction the airline went on to earn for six consecutive years.
