Dona Chai began four years ago after Amy Rothstein saw a gap in the tea market; New York City's growing coffee shop scene needed a high quality chai concentrate. She recruited her brother, Peter, and the pair created a chai recipe based on traditional chai. They are currently on track to see $2.25 million in revenue this year, and offer Masala Chai Concentrate and Turmeric Concentrate, sold to well over 1,000 accounts throughout the U.S., Canada and Japan. New this year is a line of Spice Sodas in flavors like Tumeric Honeybush and Juniper Lime.
