Actress & Comedian Known for Her Role in the "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" Films

Actress Andrea Martin currently stars as Ceil Engel in the NBC comedy "Working the Engels."

A veteran of television, stage and film, Martin recently won the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for her showstopping performance in the Broadway revival of "Pippin." Her theater credits include "My Favorite Year" at Lincoln Center (Tony, Drama Desk and Theater World Awards), Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" (Tony, Drama Desk nominations), "Exit the King" (Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle nominations) and the Toronto production of "Godspell," in which she co-starred with Victor Garber and "SCTV" alumni Martin Short, Eugene Levy and Dave Thomas.

It was on "SCTV" that Martin not only earned two Emmys for her writing, but also created some of television's most indelible sketch comedy characters, including the hilarious leopard-skin clad Edith Prickley. "Working the Engels" reunites Martin with guest stars Levy and Short.

Martin has made memorable guest appearances on hit shows such as "The Simpsons," "30 Rock" and "Nurse Jackie." Her film appearances include "The Producers," "Wag the Dog," "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Currently starring in the American premiere of James Lapine's "Act One" at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, she continues to tour with her one-woman show, "Andrea Martin: Final Days! Everything Must Go!" Harper Collins is publishing her book of humorous essays in the fall of 2014. She also reprised her role as Aunt Voula in 2016's "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2."

Martin was born in Portland, Maine and splits her time between Toronto and New York.
