Dr. Andrés Simón González-Silén is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Venemergencia, a conglomerate dedicated to provide health services in Venezuela.

Established in 2004, the Grupo Venemergencia employs 150 Venezuelans and positively impacts the lives of thousands. It is composed of five companies and one non-profit organization. The companies focus on emergency medical services (Venemergencia); laboratory services (Venelab); homecare services (Clini-Casa); occupational health services (Veneocupacional); and technology for telemedicine and mobile health (Venetecnologia). The non-profit organization, Fundacion Venemergencia, educates paramedics in association with a local university (Universidad Simón Bolívar) and establishes emergency medical brigades with community volunteers in shantytowns, as a means for developing a sustainable model of emergency care for vulnerable communities.

Dr. González-Silén holds an M.D. degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and a M.B.A. from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA), as well as many accreditations in emergency medicine and occupational health. His achievements have been recognized by his recent induction into the prestigious “Hall of Fame for IESA Entrepreneurs” and he is the Curator for the Caracas Hub of the Global Shapers.
