Co-founder of Sparo; Patented Inventor; College Lecturer

Andrew Brimer is a patented engineer, seasoned entrepreneur, and product manager. He is the Cofounder of Sparo, a company that works to make pocket-sized device for diagnosis and monitoring of respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, and cystic fibrosis. In 2018, he was was recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in healthcare.

Sparo Health is a digital health & medical technology company focused on building solutions for people with respiratory conditions, such as Asthma and COPD. Andrew led the design, development, and hardware manufacturing of Wing, the 1st FDA-cleared smartphone sensor + app to measure lung function. Andrew and his team later expanded the company's product offering to include Lift Pulmonary Rehab, an online video-based fitness, education, and rehabilitation platform for people with COPD.

Brimer has earned numerous accolades and honors, including being named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 and receiving a highly competitive Arch Grant. He has presented his work at the United Nations in NYC, the Cleveland Clinic, the University of Oxford, and The White House. He is also a patented inventor for his work in creating an acoustic, fluidic oscillating spirometer. He has also been published in peer-reviewed journals for his original basic & applied research on the subject of soft nanomaterials. Andrew holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science from Washington University in St. Louis, where returns often to speak and mentor.

Brimer is a natural leader, and always on the lookout for new opportunities to collaborate and build together. Andrew is also an avid musician and composer—proficient in piano, trombone, ukulele, & Logic Pro. He currently lives with his girlfriend Allie in St. Louis, MO.
